Albus’ Pocketwatch

The pocketwatch of Albus Lepus, Sage of Saltgate, is a priceless artifact from the Second Age of Eden. Used by the white rabbit throughout his long life, the timepiece was infamous for the role it played in its owner’s perennial unpunctuality.

Construction

It was commissioned by Queen Frieda Jacobs as a gift for most trusted advisor. Custom built by Winkie watchmakers, it was beautiful but decidedly mundane. There was nothing strange about it at all, not until Albus began using it to aid in the navigation of rabbit holes. After that, after its repeated exposure to raw spacetime, it became quite an odd watch indeed.

Abilities

The watch allows its bearer to navigate rabbit holes twice as accurately as normal. In the case of Albus Lepus, who was already quite adept, this meant that he never got lost.

Unless he did so on purpose.

Cost

Use of the watch as an ordinary timepiece presents quite a challenge, given how often its been used to leap between distinct moments in the spacetime continuum. The watch, for reasons it keeps to itself, does its best to make its bearer late to any and all engagements—and late by precisely five minutes each time.

Limitations

Like all mechanical pocket watches, it must be wound on a daily basis. That said, especially as it has gotten older, sometimes it doesn’t feel like being wound. And on those days, there is no arguing with it.
