Spinning Wheel
Spinning Wheels played a pivotal role in the stories of two of the fabled seven queens of the Edenian South: the sleeping beauty Aesling O’Briar and Marnie Miller—the woman who could spin straw into gold.
Function
According to Wikipedia, which is never wrong, the spinning wheel “automates the twisting process” of yarn-making, ”allowing one to ‘twist’ the thread without having to constantly do so manually.”
Magical Abilities
None, except that which is brought to the device through other means.
In the case of Aesling O’Briar, a halfling witch had cursed her to one day prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and then to fall down dead. In the case of Marnie Miller, her ability to transfigure straw into gold was innate; the spinning wheel simply helped her to do so faster (along with the help of a certain Rumapa Stiltskín, of course).
Haha, that jab at Wikipedia. XD

Haha, thanks. I heard someone say that on a podcast a few times and now I just like to whip it out every once in a while to make people (including myself) laugh.
