The Veil of the World | E. Christopher Clark

Veil of the World

The Veil of the World is an invisible barrier between distinct regions of space-time. Formed by mists flowing off The River Without End, it can theoretically be “pulled back” from anywhere in existence—thereby allowing the individual doing the pulling to unstick themself in time.

The barrier is especially weak near rivers and streams, and is at its absolute weakest in the alley located behind the pub called The Strumpet’s Sister.

It is important to note that travel through space-time via The Veil is limited by both the imagination and bloodline of the traveler. That is, the traveler can go anywhere or anywhen they can imagine—so long as they or someone of their bloodline has been there before or will be there in times to come.
