Cavern of Innuendo
The Cavern of Innuendo is both a physical cave, located near the base of Dükuhüo Aüki in The Garden, and a metaphysical plane of existence. While the physical cavern was accessible to anyone who can slip through the narrow entrance, the hidden door to “a new dimension of pleasure” will open to only a few. These most ardent worshippers of Phina, if they can pass a final test, are then offered an eternity of hedonistic debauchery in the company of their goddess—free forever from the tortures of a perpetually rebooting universe.
Description
The Cavern is located within a small mound near the base of Dükuhüo Aüki—the so-called “Mother Volcano.” The only way in or out is through a tight passage the locals have dubbed “The Embrace.”
The cave itself is circular, lit by torches, and centered around a stone firepit. At the far end of the room, opposite from the entrance, is a massive stone throne.
The walls, though they look like stone, are soft, supple, and moist to the touch. The air is thick and warm. And when the party really gets going, the ceiling and walls begin to drip.
It is not immediately apparent how to access the hidden world with the cave, the so-called “new dimension of pleasure.” That said, rumors indicate that only way in is through the goddess, and that the goddess can only be called from the flames of a roaring fire lit within the stone pit.
