Draconic Saliva

Draconic Saliva is a highly combustible material used in the creation of flame-based weapons and the propulsion of high-powered aircraft. It is an incredible resource and is incredibly hard to come by, given that collecting it requires sneaking up on a sleeping dragon.

They tend to drool, you see.

Because it is so hard to come by, the most typical use for draconic saliva is in the ignition of edenite-powered engines. One vial of draconic saliva is typically all you’ll need to keep an edenite-powered Dwarvish Hämnare airborne for a month.

Sadly, your local drake or drakaina is unlikely to grant you permission to milk them on the regular—no matter how nicely you ask. So, you best find yourself a master burglar if you want to sell this stuff for a living.

Material Characteristics

Draconic saliva is a straw-colored liquid that is slightly sticky to the touch.

Physical & Chemical Properties

The material has much in common with Earthling jet fuel, in that it is highly flammable but resistant to freezing—which it would have to be, given how high some dragons fly. It is shelf stable a normal temperatures, but must be artificially cooled in the hotter places of the world.
