Riverbender
Riverbender is the honorific given by The Sister’s Regulars to those who have successfully defied the will of The River Without End and thereby forced the rebooting of reality into its next iteration. And yet, most who have earned the title come to resent it and all that it stands for.
Why? Because the one who bends the river always survives The Calamity which they cause—and every Calamity thereafter—cursed to see how their new, wished-for reality plays out.
And the wished-for realities of every other Riverbender who comes after them.

Oh, I like that suggestion. Will definitely think about that. Not that many people know about them, in the grand scheme of things, but it could definitely be interesting to discuss what the people who *do* know think.
