Yonder

Yonder is a quiet hamlet, nestled in the foothills of Mount Munch, which overlooks the river which shares its name. Founded by a company of queer construction workers engaged in the construction of the nearby Cubs’ Causeway, Yonder has long been considered a heavenly haven for Edenians of all sorts. Even during the oppressive reign of Oscar Diggs, Yonder maintained its status as a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Given the village’s strategic location on the border with neighboring Promiseland, all the Yonderers had to do when The Wizard or The Witch of the East tried to make trouble was to threaten their willingness to be annexed by the other side. That’s all they had to do to make the tyrants would go away.

Geography

The village sits upon the northern shore of the Yonder River. It is located in the foothills of nearby Mount Munch, which rises to the northwest.

Notable Landmarks

The Cubs’ Causeway, also known as The Bears’ Boardwalk is perhaps the most famous of the hamlet’s landmarks. Built to allow easy crossing of the Yonder River, it’s an historic spot for both hookups and more internationally significant parleys.

Though the landmark is technically a bridge and not a causeway or boardwalk, good luck telling that to the alliteration-loving villagers.

There is also the Hangar of Wings, which housed an army of Winged Monkeys during the run-up to the War of Western Aggression. These days, it is home to raucous parties held during Eden’s Pride Month.

And last but not least, upon the summit of the mountain sits the Tower Where Blades Dance—the meeting place of two Munchkin men who came there to fight over a mutual ex before realizing that guy sucked and that they should just be together instead. Today it is considered one of the most romantic spots in all of Munchkinland.

At first I was like 'aww, how romantic' at the last bit, but also I am suspicious it is a penis joke. :P   This sounds like a lovely cosy place.

Sounds like another comfy little place where your characters can have peaceful lives before the ruckus finds them! And yeah I agree with Serukkis, the "sword-fighters" in the last paragraph. sounds gay to me!
