The Wizard
“The Wizard” is the title given to the sovereign ruler of The Ninth Empire of Oz. First held by Oscar Diggs, the “hero” of The Invasion of Oz, it was originally a title feared throughout Oz. These days, however, The Wizard is seen as a mere figurehead, with the Four Witches—Glinda the Good, chief among them—holding the true power in the Empire.
